Rurouni
Kenshin - PG - 13
Review:
Kenshin is the story of a wandering man
names Kenshin
or as he is otherwise known as, Batousai, the Man Slayer. He has been
traveling
for years trying to escape from all the things that he fought for in
the
Meiji Revolution, but he can't seem to get away with it. One day he
meets
a girl named Kouru and helps her to save her school for training young
warriors
in her families style. Though Kenshin believes the style to be a bit
naive,
he goes along with it. Eventually they meet some new friends and the
show
turns into a "monster of the episode" kind of deal for a while. The
show
has a lot of interesting plots and for all of you Inuyasha or even
Sailor
Moon fans out there, you're sure to love this series.
Rurouni Kenshin is a bit darker then
such series' such
as Sailor Moon. It delves into some historical political issues and
deals
with more intense issues of captivity and drugs, and such. While
there's
still a lot of humorous moments, it does get quite serious at times.
While
I personally like the constantly changing tone of the show, some do not.
