Memoirs of a Geisha:

Alright, so this isn't an anime, and the movie isn't from Japan, but I felt that I must write this mini review for Memoirs of a Geisha. This movie was simply amazing to me. The sights, the sounds, the culture. It was an experience to go an see the movie. From the main character's childhood, throughout her young adult years as a miko, and all the way through World War II, we find ourselves emerged in the secret world of the geisha. If you like Japanese culture, and trandition, then you will abosulutely love this movie. If the plot doesn't suck you in, then the elaborate make up of all the characters, and costumes, and scenery as well, will make you a true fan of the geisha.

Costumes: 10/10
Plot: For not having read the book beforehand, some of the parts were a little sketchy (7/10)
Character Development: 8/10
Sights: 10/10
Sounds: 7/10
Overall: I give Memoirs of a Geisha an 8.5/10 (and I'm a hard critic)
